Recruitment of Graduate Trainees at E-1 level in Engineering & Geo-Sciences posts through GATE-2018 Advt.No.7/2017(R&P)

ONGC Recruitment 2018: ONGC has announced Job notification to recruit for the 19 posts of various positions as Assistant Engineer, Chemist,  and Multiple Vacancy for B.Tech/B.E, M.Sc, M.E/M.Tech published on 19th September 2017

1. Job Eligibility and Qualifications for the post of Assistant Engineer

Educational Qualification:

B.Tech/B.E, Graduate Degree in Engineering (any field) with minimum 60% marks.

M.Tech/M.E, Post Graduate Degree in Physics with Electronics with minimum 60% marks.

Age:

Candidates must be between 30 – 40 Years old.

2. Job Eligibility and Qualifications for the post of Chemist

Qualification:

Post Graduate in Chemistry with minimum 60% marks.

Age:

Candidates must be between 30 – 40 Years old.

3. Job Eligibility and Qualifications for the post of Geologist

Qualification:

Post Graduate Degree in Geology With minimum 60% marks M.Sc. or M. Tech (Petroleum Geoscience) with minimum marks M.Sc. or M.Tech in (Petroleum Geology) with minimum marks M.Tech in (Geological Technology)

Age:

Candidates must be between 30 – 40 Years old.

4. Job Eligibility and Qualifications for Multiple Posts

Note:

1. The courses offered by Institutions/ Universities through the regular mode should be approved/ recognized by the necessary statutory bodies for employment to posts and services under the Central Government like Association of Indian Universities (AIU)/UGC/AICTE etc. Candidates who have obtained their qualification through the distance learning/ part-time mode are also eligible to apply provided that their qualification is recognized by the relevant statutory bodies for employment to jobs and services under the Central Government. Computation of percentage of marks in the qualifying degree is as per university/ institution rules.

2.  Wherever CGPA/ OGPA/ CPI/ DGPA or letter grade in degree is awarded, equivalent % of marks should be indicated in the online application as per norms adopted by concerned Univ./ Instt. Please also get a certificate to this effect from the Univ./Instt, which shall be required to be submitted at the time of interview. If university/Institute does not have the provision for conversion CGPA/ OGPA/ CPI/ DGPA or letter grade into percentage than the equivalence will be established by dividing the candidate’s relative grade with maximum possible corresponding scale and multiplying the result with 100.
3. As required in the Minimum Essential Qualifications above, if no mention of specialization in the qualifying degree, then candidates have to submit a certificate at the time of interview from their institution/ university with a clear mention of their specialization in the qualifying degree.

Selection Procedure

1. GATE —2018: The desirous and eligible candidates having the essential qualification for the advertised posts are required to apply and appear in the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2018.
2. The candidates possessing the required qualification for the publicized posts is necessary to apply appear in the GATE-2018 subjects strictly as indicated above Para Essential Qualification 8 GATE Subject with Code under Eligibility Criteria.
3. The GATE-2018 Score in the subject mentioned against the posts of ONGC will be considered by ONGC for short-listing the candidates for the further selection process Of Personal Interview as per the Decide by the Management
