G.B. Pant Institute of Himalayan Environment and Development Jobs 2018: 03 Field Assistant, Technical Assistant, Senior Research Fellow Vacancy for 10TH, Any Graduate, Any Post Graduate published on 24th January 2018

G.B. Pant Institute of Himalayan Environment and Development has released an official employment notification inviting for the following purely project/contractual based temporary positions under Department of Biotechnology (DBT) funded a project entitled “Creating A Genomics platform for Apple Research in India Phase-II”. Interested and eligible candidates to apply for the post of Field Assistant, Technical Assistant, and Senior Research Fellow Vacancy for 10TH, Any Graduate, Any Post Graduate. Furthermore, job details are given below:

1. Job Details for the post of Field Assistant

• One post for Field Assistant should be initially for one year.
• Essential Qualification: Intermediate
• Job description and preference for the candidate: Maintenance of apple germplasm repository at Surya Kunj and Govt. Horticulture Garden Chaubatia.
• Work Experience of working in the Himalayan region and Knowledge of scion collection, grafting and transplantation of apple cultivars

Age: The applicant must be up to 35 years as on January 2018

2. Job Details for the post of Technical Assistant

• One post for Technical Assistant should be initially for one year.
• Essential Qualification: Graduation
• Job description and preference for the candidate: Assist researcher in field data collection and maintenance of accessions.
• At least 2 years work experience of working in the Himalayan region

Age: The applicant must be up to 35 years as on January 2018

3. Job Details for the post of Senior Research Fellow

• One post for Senior Research Fellow should be initially for one year.
• Essential Qualification: First class Master degree in Plant Sciences
• Job description and preference for candidate: Conduct intensive research (Field and Lab)  Assessment of morphological, physiological and biochemical responses selected apple cultivars and developing propagation protocols
• At least 2 years Work experience in Plant Physiology, Tissue Culture, and Biochemical analysis.
• Emoluments: Rs. 28,000/- pm +HRA for NET qualified or Rs. 14,000/- pm +HRA for Non-NET personnel

Age: The applicant must be up to 32 years as on January 2018
